FULL SLAB STONE SHOWERPANS CAN BE MADE OUT OF MARBLE, LIMESTONE, GRANITE, FLAGSTONE, QUARTZITE, AND SLATE. 1) We grind down the stone slab so that it has a perfect 1/4 inch per foot pitch to a perfectly cut out drain. We then lightly sandblast the stone giving the stone some texture. We can also apply a non slip etching treatment for added grip. We can also incise perfectly pitched channels to the drain for additional texture. You can use the lines as a decorative motif and make geometric patterns If you insist on having grout we can fill in the lines with grout so that they are flush with the stone surface. We can even also route out geometric designs and install pieces of mosaic tiles and grout to match any accent colors of your backsplash or countertop.
2) The full slab stone showerpans are more water resistant than common tile and grout showerpans. As well as being easier to clean and maintain. And because there is a perfect pitch to the drain you no longer have any standing water which promotes dirty, cracked, and leaking grout joints which promote water damage and mold problems around the perimeter of the showerpan.
3) We install a hot mop before each showerpan installation helping to reduce any risk of leaks. And we install a drip edge around the edge of the showerpan which is hidden behind the tile but help keeps any water from wicking behind the tiles.

WE GRIND DOWN THE SLAB UNTIL THERE IS A PERFECT 1/4 INCH PITCH TO A PERFECTLY CUT OUT DRAIN. BECAUSE OF THE PERFECT PITCH TO THE DRAIN YOU WILL HAVE NO STANDING DIRTY WATER AND DIRTY GROUT JOINTS WHERE THE WATER SEEPS THRU CRACKED GROUT JOINTS AND YOU EVENTUALLY END UP WITH MOLD PROBLEMS AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE SHOWER PAN. AND THE FULL SLAB SHOWERPANS ARE EASIER TO MAINTAIN. AS WELL BEING ABLE TO WITNESS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF NATURE.

THE GRINDING ALSO REMOVES THE POLISH FOR A NATURAL LOOK & TO GIVE THE STONE A SLIP RESISTANT FINISH. AND BECAUSE THERE ARE NO GROUT JOINTS THE SHOWER PAN IS MORE WATERPROOF & EASIER TO MAINTAIN THAN STANDARD TILE & GROUT SHOWER PANS.
